We continue to be well supported by all sections of the community and I'm pleased to be able to welcome the Middlesex president Michael Barnes and one of our local MPs, Nick de Bois, to our big event at Allianz Park on Saturday.

The event continues to gain steady momentum and it's very pleasing that the opposition are buying into the concept.

Dave Perks, who has been dealing with Saffron Walden, reports that they three coaches booked. This is independent of the fleet of cars that will be heading down the M11, and that's something which is very pleasing.

Please note for those attending the Rugby Tonight show on Wednesday, February 26th, the meeting point is The Cow Pub, 4 Chesnut Plaza, Montfichet Road, Stratford, London E20 1GL.

Please be there by 5.45pm at the latest. This is with a view to boarding the minibuses at 6.15 pm, which will take us to the BT Sports Studios at the Olympic Park, Stratford. We need to be in the studios at 6.45pm.

The show finishes at 9.30pm and we will then be bused back to The Cow. A coach will pick us from the watering hole at 11.15pm from where we will return to Donkey Lane.

The objective is to publicise The BDO and, to this end, its vital that every member is able, if asked, to give lots of details about the day, as well as generating enthusiasm, which, of course, entails encouraging people to attend.

The presenters could ask anyone of us about it while the cameras are rolling, so please make sure that that you are up to speed on the main details. A crib sheet will be provided. Or, if in doubt, please ask.

Please encourage as many people as possible to attend the Big Day Out. It will be worth it....
